Wealth-X, a global data and intelligence company focused on ultra high net worth individuals, released its 2018 World Ultra Wealth Report Wednesday.

Not surprisingly, given recent market performance, the wealthiest individuals throughout the world only got richer last year. But the report wasn’t without interesting data points, affirmation of trends and even some surprises–like New York being overtaken by Hong Kong as the world’s capital of the ultra-high-net-worth.
